Design and Build Process
With more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Blue Ribbon Residential Construction employs a proven, step-by-step design/build process that ensures customer satisfaction. This process includes the following steps:

Step One: Project Profile Sheet
During our initial contact with you as homeowner, we listen carefully and gather some general information. We will ask you to complete a Project Profile Sheet. This sheet - also available on our Web site - allows you to give us some specifics regarding the project you have in mind.
Step Two: Initial Site Visit
Once you return the Project Profile Sheet, we schedule an appointment with you at your home. Please allow at least 1.5 hours for this meeting. We request that all parties involved in your project attend that meeting. At this initial, no-charge consultation and site visit, we take photos of the lot and area involved in the proposed project, and we discuss the following with you:
- Design criteria
- Structural considerations
- Window/door styles and brands
- Cabinetry and countertops
- Bath fixtures and ceramic tile
- Options to be considered
The Initial Site Visit is your opportunity to assess Blue Ribbon as well. Your family’s safety is a priority at Blue Ribbon. We require full screenings and background checks of all our workers, most of whom have been with us for years. And before you authorize a project, you will have the opportunity to talk with other homeowners from Blue Ribbon’s extensive reference list.
You will learn that Blue Ribbon is sensitive to your concerns about security, construction dust and debris, communication, and the all-important issue of safety. We treat your home as if it were our own.
The next step in the process is the Ballpark Estimate.
